Paediatric and Family Dentistry began sixty years ago as the dream of two persons who dared to be different: Dr. Lebert William Gordon-Veitch (LW) and his wife and business partner, Claudia.
Dr. Erica Gordon-Veitch, continued the tradition and also expanded the reach after graduating as a Paediatric Dentist from the University of London in 1981. She strongly believes that early positive dental experiences, mostly via prevention, is the key to a lifetime of excellent attitudes towards oral health. Her crowning achievement is being awarded the Order of Distinction Commander Class for outstanding service to the Dental Profession in 2017. She has special concerns for the very young and challenged patients and has lectured extensively to many Health Professionals and Community Groups.
Ajani Goes to the Dentist was inspired by her love for children and the need to share the importance of early preventive dental visits.
One year old Ajani has a birthday party coming up. Mommy has lots to do but is reminded that his first dental visit is also important. She has many questions. Should Ajani’s teeth be brushed with a real brush now? What about feeding him at night? Can his teeth really get cavities so early?
Ajani is off to the Dentist with his big sister, Zoe, for an exciting time and many new adventures. This will definitely lead to a lifetime of great smiles and a positive attitude towards dental visits.
Let’s spread the word and save children’s smiles.
